When you use Mark-It™ Signals, we collect:

• Location Data: GPS coordinates captured at the time you submit a Mark
• Device Information: Anonymous device UUID, IP address, browser type, operating system
• Submitted Content: Photos, voice recordings, text descriptions you provide
• Usage Data: Timestamps, selected clubs, interaction logs
• Business User Data: Email address, name, club affiliation (for dashboard access)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Deliver Marks to the appropriate property operators
• Verify that submissions occur on-property (geofence validation)
• Generate AI summaries and group similar observations
• Send email notifications to business users
• Improve Platform functionality and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

Your submitted Marks and associated data are shared with:

• Property Operators: Clubs and businesses receive Marks submitted about their properties
• AI Services: Third-party AI providers process content for summaries (data is anonymized where possible)
• Service Providers: Cloud hosting, email delivery, and analytics partners
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data in response to lawful requests or to prevent harm

We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain submitted Marks and associated data for as long as necessary to provide the service, typically for 2 years from submission date. Business users may request longer retention for operational purposes. Device UUIDs and acceptance logs are retained indefinitely for legal compliance.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of email notifications (business users)
• Withdraw consent for location data collection (which may limit functionality)

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your club selections. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Location Data Specifics

GPS coordinates are captured at the time of Mark submission and used to:

• Verify you are on-property
• Pin Marks to specific locations on maps
• Help property operators identify issue locations

Location data is NOT tracked continuously — only when you actively submit a Mark.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge the inherent risks of internet transmission.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
