Mark-It™ Signals Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy defines prohibited conduct on the Mark-It™ Signals platform. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal action.
Prohibited Content
You may NOT submit Marks that contain:
- Criminal Accusations: Direct allegations that someone committed a crime
- Personal Information: Names, addresses, phone numbers, or other private data
- Threats or Harassment: Content intended to intimidate, threaten, or harm individuals
- Defamation: Knowingly false statements intended to damage someone's reputation
- Hate Speech: Content targeting race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or protected characteristics
- Profanity: Excessive vulgar or obscene language
- Sexual Content: Pornographic or sexually explicit material
- Violence: Graphic depictions of violence or gore (unless safety-related)
- Copyright Violations: Photos, audio, or text you don't have rights to use
- Spam or Advertising: Promotional content, solicitations, or marketing
Prohibited Behavior
You may NOT:
- Submit false or fabricated observations
- Use the Platform to harass property staff or other users
- Attempt to circumvent geofencing or location verification
- Submit duplicate or spam Marks
- Use automated tools or bots to submit content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Interfere with Platform operations or security
- Use the Platform for illegal purposes
Appropriate Use Examples
Examples of acceptable Marks:
- "Broken irrigation head on hole 7"
- "Trash can overflowing near clubhouse entrance"
- "Bunker needs raking on hole 12"
- "Excellent service from dining staff today"
- "Low-hanging branch on cart path"
Inappropriate Use Examples
Examples of prohibited Marks:
- "[Employee name] is stealing from the club" (criminal accusation)
- "This place is a scam and the manager should be fired" (defamatory)
- "Call [phone number] for cheaper golf lessons" (spam)
- Posting photos of other members without consent (privacy violation)
- Using profanity or offensive language
Enforcement
Mark-It™ Signals reserves the right to:
- Remove content that violates this policy
- Suspend or terminate access for repeat violations
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
- Preserve evidence of violations for legal purposes
We review flagged content but do not actively monitor all submissions. Property operators may also flag inappropriate content.
